The Creative Capital Fund (CCF) is delighted to announce its role as a cornerstone investor in a fund-raising of €2.53 million for The Creative Experience Company Limited.

The business

The Creative Experience Company is a new venture that has developed a themed experience for performance in a distinctive venue. The company is based in Acton, West London, and its intellectual property will be created and owned in the UK.

The venue will be a prime location close to St Mark’s Square in Venice, where the company will shortly launch a dramatic multi-media spectacle based on the Carnival. It will be an opportunity for some of the 11 million tourists who visit that city annually to enjoy the atmosphere of the Venice Carnival on any day of the year.

The funding

The investment was led by Leisure and Media VCT plc, which is managed by North Atlantic Value LLP, part of the J O Hambro Capital Management Group. The Ambassador Theatre Group Limited, one of the UK’s foremost theatre owners and producers, is also an investor. Other investors comprise private individuals.

The founders of The Creative Experience Company include Andrew Empson, Anthony Wilkinson and Colin Wilkinson (Managing Director), who together bring entrepreneurial experience and knowledge of the theatre and production worlds to this new venture. Other Board members add expertise in the tourist industry, working in Italy and Venice in particular, and in early-stage business development.
